Kinoko Shrine // Environment Art
An exploration of creating a stylized game world in a future Japan where mushrooms have taken over.
In the future world of 2075, robots are the only ones left on earth, and they are trying to live life as humans did. By doing this, they are exploring mythologies and recreating folklore as we did. Set in Japan, we follow the trail up a mountain to a mystical Shinto shrine. The Kinoko Shrine (Kinoko, meaning 'mushroom' in Japanese).
Made during mentorship with game level designer Nathan Robinson. My 3D environment design with his blueprints and Unreal Engine guidance.
